On September 27, 2024, the 7th Rashtriya Poshan Maah 2024 was celebrated at Panjabari Circle, Dispur (Khanapara) ICDS Project, Kamrup (M), with esteemed guests:

This nationwide initiative aims to combat malnutrition and promote holistic health and nutrition.
Key Activities
1. Healthy Food Game: Children participated in a healthy food game to develop good eating habits.
2. Nutritious Food Display: Locally available nutritious food and vegetables were showcased.
3. Recipe Competition: AWW and AWH participated in a recipe competition to demonstrate nutritious homemade food.
4. Breastfeeding Awareness: Exclusive breastfeeding and complementary feeding following the 5-finger rule were encouraged.
5. Toycathon: Indigenous toys and games were created to promote Indian culture, history, and values.
6. Kitchen Garden Dance: AWC children performed a dance to encourage kitchen gardens in every AWC.
7. Handwashing Dance: AWH performed a Bihu dance to portray the 6 steps of handwashing for hygiene.
8. Awards: Healthy children and recipe competition winners were awarded.
The 7th Rashtriya Poshan Maah 2024 focuses on themes like:
• Anaemia prevention
• Growth Monitoring
• Complementary Feeding
• "Poshan Bhi Padhai Bhi" (Nutrition and Education)
• Technology for Better Governance
• "Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam" (A Tree in Mother's Name)
This month-long celebration aims to raise awareness about nutrition and wellness across the nation.
