Hidden Treasures Recovered in Guwahati Rajgarh


A wonderful piece of archaeological evidence was recently found from Rajgarh area of Guwahati. The Directorate of Museums, Assam found a beautiful ancient artefact on the 19th of October.

This artefact which is strategically placed in the state is believed to have been sourced from an ancient pillar and gives evidence of the craftsmanship of the local artisans from several centuries ago. 

Assam has an interesting story and this particular finding is one more in the history of the state. It helps to better understand the ancient civilization of the state and its arts including that of India as a whole.

We can think of the creator(s) of these artefacts while looking at the artefacts themselves. The people who left behind such a legacy will always be a reminder for the posterity to protect our cultural legacies.
